Meet Edgar, who belongs to Imgurian Socializta. He is a good boy.
Unfortunately, he ran away from their home about a week ago. Socializta and their family were very concerned, especially as it’s been very stormy in Cincinnati, and Edgar is afraid of storms.
Needless to say, they feared the worst after not seeing Edgar for 7 days.

Their other dog, Oscar, has been sad ever since Edgar went missing. ‘He never leaves Edgar’s side,’ explained Socializta ‘and was very depressed this last week without his best friend.’

But today, something fantastic happened. ‘My dad was walking Oscar through the neighborhood when he heard a noise. It sounded like a dog whining, but so does everything when you’re looking for a lost dog,’ Socializta said.
‘After further investigation, my dad looked in a drainage tunnel under the ground. That’s when Edgar started barking, whining, and screaming to be saved.’

There he is! The fire department was able to cut through the tunnel and dig up the soil around it. They think ‘he entered from the open end of the pipe when it started to storm because he was scared. He crawled about 50 ft into the pipe and got stuck.’

This is the first time Edgar saw sunlight all week.

As it had been a rainy week, and this poor lil doggo was stuck in a storm drain filled with water, he needed to see a vet as soon as possible. He is covered in sores and has a few infections, but he’s okay.

Edgar and Oscar are now reunited. ‘I love these guys and I am so happy he’s home. I thought I would never see him again, and all of this just seems too good to be true. I hope this story made you guys feel good. Will keep you all updated as time goes on.’
